When I was pregnant with my daughter, I found the task of setting up a baby registry quite daunting. I would search the web for recommended baby products. I would ask my friends what worked for them. I would read reviews and tried to envision myself as a mom using each of the items. It eventually came together, but one of my favorite parts of setting up a registry was picking out books. At first, I thought maybe I was weird . . . and maybe I still am! But the process forced me to dive into early childhood literature and set our home up to be a place of reading and exploration. Check out thirteen books I added to my baby registry!
I love the Fairy Friends series! The illustrations in this book are bright and beautiful, a mix of wildflower photos and fairy drawings. My little girl loves to touch the bright pages and listens carefully as I name the flowers, colors, and count.

The Mudpuppy Little series has been a fun asset to our book collection. Each box set comes with four little books covering various topics such as science, traveling, and other learning basics. I love that these board books are small . . . perfect for tiny, chubby hands to grasp and explore. I also love that the pages are thick, about twice the size of standard board books. The book is able to withstand the wear and tear of an exploring child.
